Buddha's boys?
Journal Entry: Fri Jul 20, 2007, 2:22 AM
Dear fellow deviants,
It's been a long time since I wrote any journal, and this time, I write to ask for your favour. Yes. You, who have the finest, the rarest of all brain. You, who have all gathered online in this place.
Alright, before I lose 99% of my audience, I'd like to ask for your help in creating art works which depict the concept of clinging.
Now I ask you to understand "My" concept of clinging.
Please read on.================================
Clinging is a sticky will which tries to preserve permanence within impermanence.
Like a child trying to keep his sand castle as long as possible, it inevitably erodes by wind, or crumbles away by the sea water.
The cling-will propels a person to resort to unnecessarily great efforts in order to maintain his/her sandcastle as long as possible. As a result, that person is too absorbed that he fails to enjoy the view of the sandcastle in the present moments.
Instead, having exhausted all energy, that person has no choice, but to see the sandcastle disappear. The expanded effort now causes disappointment to a person.
Applying this analogy to our lives, sandcastle may refer to:
Self-identity
Feelings
How we relate to our environment (material possessions, people around us, the world)
and all other elements which may erode any of the three above
Disclaimer: Author reserves right to be corrected.
===============================================
Be it poetry, photo manipulation, traditional art, digital art, song, etc. I'd like to ask you to divert your creative juices towards this direction - do it for yourself, and for the sake of humanity.
When you have completed your works, please post it up, and explain your work and how you see this concept. And could you please leave the link in my comment section, so I can see it? (Otherwise, what's the point?)
(And no, this is not mean to be religion specific, but for all who considered themselves as the family of humanity. "Buddha" was just used to capture the attention of people.)
Thanks,
lilboy out

Lilboy's Theorem of Art Replication: All forms of art can be identically replicated, with the right conditions (medium, willpower, perserverance, etc.) and resources (time, food, health, etc.).
Must have been the other person in me. My apologies for not restraining him properly.

Sydney's a pleasant place to be in. Kensington, the suburb I'm in, is quite a peaceful place, compared to my hometown in Malaysia.
I'm sorry. Have we talked before?
